Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Github VPN (referred to as 'this Service' or 'we') handles personal information when providing the VPN client and related services. We collect data only when it is needed for accounts, connection quality, security, and support.
When you download and launch this App, we may collect necessary operational data such as IP address, device operating system version, app version, connection status, in-app paths, and session duration. Approximate region data may be used to recommend routes, identify regional incidents, and send important service notices. Github VPN does not use this information to sell user profiles.
We only transmit aggregated or anonymized data to necessary service providers, such as Google Play Services and Firebase, for crash analysis, performance improvement, and security monitoring. Except for legal requirements, user safety needs, or confidential service-provider cooperation, we do not disclose personal information to third parties. After uninstalling the App, it will no longer generate new operational data.
User-provided data is retained during the service term and a reasonable retention period. To cancel an account or delete personal information, contact our privacy team at [email protected]. This App is not intended for children under 13; if such data is collected by mistake, we will delete it according to process. We protect information through access control, encrypted storage, and security review.
This Privacy Policy may be updated because of legal requirements or service changes. You should review this page regularly; continued use after publication means acceptance of the revised policy. This policy has been effective since October 4, 2025. For privacy questions, contact the Github VPN team by email at [email protected].
